Part-Time Contemporary Worship Leader
Description:
Christ Church is seeking a part-time worship team leader to help us guide the church in moments of corporate worship and to becoming a people with a heart of worship. We currently have a contemporary service of worship at 11 am Sunday mornings.
Qualifications:
- A living faith in Christ.
- Understanding and agreement with the Global Methodist doctrine and theology.
- Willingness to become connected with the Global Methodist Church in some capacity.
- An ability to sing and play an instrument.
- An ability to lead a team to create a welcoming atmosphere for worship.
- have at least 2 years of experience on a worship team with some of that being in a leadership capacity.
Key Attributes:
- A humble servant with a heart for the Lord and a heart to help His people worship Him.
- Administration, organization and coordination skills.
- Good communication skills: including communication during times or worship, but also with the volunteers who will be assisting in worship.
- A team-player who can build a team to create moments of worship and helps the church understand worship connects with all the church does.
- Someone who can recruit, train, encourage and support the volunteers.
- A teachable spirit and a willingness to continue learning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead worship on Sunday morning.
- Organize and lead rehearsals with volunteer musicians.
- Communication with those participating in worship (musicians, readers, communion servers, technical personnel, etc.).
- Prepare materials, space and the team prior to worship on Sundays.
- Attend weekly staff meeting.
- Coordinate and schedule the volunteers who will be participating in the worship service each week.
- Work in conjunction with the lead pastor and other staff to coordinate elements of worship as well as special worship services (Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve, etc.).
Schedule: 10 hours per week.
Salary: $10,000 based on qualifications and experience.
